Chemistry.com has, at least, a good quiz associated, which was produced by Helen Fisher, an Anthropologist who has spent a great deal of time studying love.I am very interested in Neuroscience so i bought her book, then i had to take the Chemistry quiz out of curiosity. No interest currently in joining the site, but if you haven't tried it, the way people are grouped into personality types seems like a good process, based on the individuals active brain chemical (estrogen, testosterone, serotonin, and dopamine). The book "why him, why her?" is also great. Cheers.

Hey, I just want to let you know people still read this! You sound pretty cool to me. I actually came across this site when I searched "What is a good number of profile views on Match.com" I've been told I'm attractive, but I haven't had any luck with women. I think it's my introverted, slightly awkward, and sarcastic personality, but who knows? I've dealt with a few "disappearing" people before as well, and they get me every time! =) Anyways, I hope things are going well for you.

I have to disagree with you on only dating useless for anyone over 28. I met my wife online and we've been happily married for 10 years now. Mind you I had many unsuccesful dates before her. I think there are wondeful people online, you just have to weed through the undesirables ..lol

When I am interested I call. I don't wait and I certainly don't have rules like "I have to wait two hours" or "I have to wait a day" or "I have to let it go to voice mail". Then again I am usually called 'desperate' :) If there's any guidance, rules, common sense, I'd love to know them...

I like your blog. Very nicely written. I was actually thinking "that's why you are still single" when I read it, which made me smile... not a evil grin, but half way there. There are a lot of unsavory guys (and gals) online, but your filtering and reading between the lines and keywords and who knows what else it just out of control. I am on Match myself and was just contemplating starting a guys version of your blog ;-) My complaint from women (at least in Seattle) - flaky, no respect and aboslutely no style. But I love the city otherwise... though situation to be in. I'll keep reading... love to see how the saga unfolds.

Personally I think online dating is useless for anyone over 28. It doesn't matter how good you look for your age the computer will filter you out unless you lie about your age. All the male profiles ask for women their age and below because men are basically shallow and can't see past a digit. Your best bet is to let the universe do the work for you and find someone in a face to face scenario. They'll already know whether they are interested or not well before your age ever comes up in conversation. As a late 30's female I get loads of attention from 20 somethings in person and only 50 somethings online. I'll take the personal approach anyday.

Just get a guy drunk, take him home, scare him in to a relationship. Work on distancing him from all his friends and family and eventually break his will to live. Once this is done you can make him in to the man you want or at least in to the man your girlfriends can deal with. Worse case scenario you get half his paycheck. Good Luck!
